The All on 4 dental implant treatment concept combines the idea of dentures and the idea of implants. It is a way to give you a complete smile, and a full set of strong, working teeth.
With dental implants, we can either replace a single tooth or several teeth. It is a little bit different when all of the teeth need to be replaced. Instead of replacing each tooth individually, we will give you a full set of brand new, permanent teeth on the day of your oral surgery.
Since screws are used for dental implants, you might worry that you will end up with a mouth full of titanium. That is part of what makes All-on-4 Treatment Concept so revolutionary. We do not need to use a screw for each tooth. Instead, we will use just four screws. These are placed strategically in your jaw so that they will be able to hold your brand teeth.
What You Need to Know About All-on-4 Dental Implants
 If you are a good candidate for All-on-4 Treatment Concept, there are a couple of things that you will want to know.
With dental implants, we will often need to do a bone graft. That is to make sure that there is enough bone in your jaw to support the implant. With All-on-4 Treatment Concept, in most cases, a bone graft will not be needed. That is because we will place the screws in spots that have enough bone already. This will save much time in the long run. There are still some cases where a bone graft is needed, but it is rare.
You might wonder how a new set of teeth will stay in place with just four screws. We will use two screws in the back, one on either side. These two screws will be placed at an angle, which will make them stronger. The other two screws will be towards the front, to hold everything in place.
If you need both your top teeth and your bottom teeth replaced, we will use eight screws total, instead of just four. Some patients will still use a traditional denture on the top, and All-on-4 Treatment Concept on the bottom.
With All-on-4 Treatment Concept, you will have strong, permanent teeth. You will not be able to remove them. You will need to practice good oral hygiene, and if you smoke, you should stop.
